Student Empowerment
A vibrant display of creativity and scientific curiosity marked the Science & Art Exhibition 2082, held on Friday at the premises of Don Bosco School, Tankisinuwari, P.O. Biratnagar. The event attracted a large turnout of students, parents, and educators from across the region.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Mrs. Manisha Thapa, Section Officer at the Education Department of Budhiganga Rural Municipality. In her address, she praised the school for fostering hands-on learning opportunities and motivating students to engage deeply with both science and the arts.
Distinguished guests graced the occasion, including Rev. Fr. P. K. Jacob SDB, Salesian National Delegate of Nepal, who attended as the Guest of Honor, and Mr. Ishwor Kafle from the Education Department of Budhiganga Rural Municipality, Morang, who served as the Special Guest.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from the community, with over 550 parents and more than 300 students from various institutions exploring the exhibits. Several school leaders were also in attendance, notably Sr. Marlin CJ of St. Mary’s School Biratnagar, Fr. Gyan SDB of Don Bosco School Sirsiya, and Fr. Manoj Jose SDB of Morning Star School Chakarghatti.
The exhibition showcased a diverse range of student-created artworks, scientific models, and innovative projects. Visitors walked through colorful stalls where students confidently demonstrated their research, artistic pieces, and experimental models, reflecting weeks of preparation and creativity.
Parents commended the school for providing such an enriching platform, describing the exhibition as “inspiring” and “highly educational.” Teachers echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the importance of such events in nurturing analytical thinking, creativity, and teamwork among students.
The exhibition concluded on a positive note, with heartfelt appreciation from guests and participants. The event reaffirmed Don Bosco School’s commitment to holistic education and its continued dedication to nurturing young minds through meaningful and innovative learning experiences.
